Of the various causes of World War I, which do you think was the most important, and why?

Identify and analyze the first two Russian Revolutions of 1917, the “Third Russian Revolution” of 1928-1929, and the first five-year plan of 1928-1932. In what ways did these revolutions radically change Russian society?  In what ways did these revolutions radically change Russian society?

Discuss whether Stalin’s collectivization policies were successful or not.. Use historical examples to support your answer.

Describe the rise of fascism in Germany and Italy (Mussolini and Hitler), and compare Hitler’s Nazism and Stalin’s communism.  Indicate the conditions present in Germany that made it possible for Hitler to come to power. Then describe the Nazi persecution of the Jews. Analyze how a cultured people like the Germans could systematically kill twelve million Jews and other minorities.

Speak upon two causes of World War II, such as the Treaty of Versailles and the Great Depression. And compare Germany and Japan (identify and describe leadership qualities of respective leaders).

Analyze how the stipulations of the Treaty of Versailles that ended World War I, along with the Great Depression of the 1930s, contributed to the outbreak of World War II. Then analyze significant ways in which World War II changed the world.  Make sure you use enough historical details to support your answer.

And compare Germany and Japan (identify and describe leadership qualities of respective leaders).
